Skip the 300-shortcut lists. Here are the 25 shortcuts that make a real difference in daily work.

Excel keyboard shortcuts guide

Every “complete Excel shortcuts” guide lists 200+ combinations. Nobody memorizes them all. Most people memorize 5-10 and ignore the rest.

Here are the shortcuts that actually matter — the ones that save time every single day.

What Shortcuts Can't Do

Shortcuts are powerful, but some tasks have no keyboard solution:

  • Navigate to a sheet by name (Ctrl+Page just cycles through in order)
  • Insert dates other than today (Ctrl+; only does today)
  • Push data to a database
  • See all workbook objects in one view
